01.

The Initial Veneers Process

The process of getting veneers begins with a consultation and smile evaluation. If veneers are the right option, we will remove a thin enamel layer to prepare your teeth. Impressions or digital scans are taken to create custom veneers.

While those are crafted, temporary veneers may be placed in the meantime.

02.

Fitting Your Finalized Veneers

When your custom veneers are ready, you return to have them bonded to your teeth and adjusted for fit. We’ll also give them a final polish to blend in with your other teeth.

You will be given full post-care instructions to help you care for your veneers. In follow-up appointments, we will check their condition and adjust as needed.

FAQ

  • How long do veneers last?

Veneers usually last 10 to 15 years, with porcelain veneers lasting longer than composite ones. This can depend on your oral hygiene, diet, and teeth-grinding or nail-biting habits. With proper care and regular dental visits, veneers can give you a beautiful smile for years.

  • How do porcelain veneers differ from composite veneers?

Porcelain veneers are custom-made, durable shells crafted in a dental lab. They offer a natural look and last 10–15 years. Composite veneers are applied directly in the office, cost less, and typically last five to seven years. Porcelain resists stains better, while composite is more affordable and easier to repair if damaged.

  • Are veneers permanent?

Veneers are not fully permanent, but they are long-lasting. Eventually, they may need to be replaced or repaired due to wear, damage, or changes in your natural teeth.
