Cavity Fillings and Sealants in Arlington, TX

Cavity fillings and sealants are common treatments for protecting and restoring teeth. Fillings repair teeth damaged by decay by removing the cavity and filling the space with durable material, preventing further damage. Sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of molars to block out bacteria and food particles.

Both treatments help preserve tooth structure, prevent cavities, and support long-term oral health in children and adults.

Process of Cavity Fillings and Sealants

Cavity Fillings:

We numb the affected area for comfort. The damaged portions of the tooth are removed, and the area is cleaned. Once free of decay, we fill the cavity with composite material. The material is smoothed and polished to match the tooth and restore function and appearance.

Sealants:

First, we clean and dry your teeth. Then, a specialized gel is applied to the surface to prepare for sealing. Once the sealant material is applied, it is hardened using a custom light. When fully solid, the sealant shields teeth from bacteria and plaque.
